This webpage is for a genius hour project that I am doing for school. In this blog I am going to tell you about my topic, making Special Needs kids feel like you and I. I have done a lot of research and have a lot of experience about this topic.
Some of the research I have done is trying to learn more about all the different types of special needs, what its like in their daily life, and I ask my cousin who has a type of special needs that makes her not learn as easy as you and I and she has a birth defect. When my cousin was in the womb, they believe that she had a seizure.
During my research, I learned a lot that I did not know. Some things that I didn't know is that there are tons of different types of special needs. There are types that are noticeable by looking at people and then there is types that you can't know they have by looking at them. Some examples of types you can see are Down Syndrome, Alzheimer, and blindness. You may be thinking, blindness is a disorder? Yes it is. I found that out during my research. Examples of types that aren't able to see are Anxiety,a learning disability, etc.
In the blog before it listed the steps I took during this project. It was a very hard topic, but it came easy to me since I have experience with the topic. Some of the steps that it took, I didn't list on the last blog because I didn't know how to word it. It was very hard to think back to all my research and everything I did to help me better understand some of the different disorders and things like that.
I hope you enjoy this website and I hope it helps you better understand my project.
